Smugglers & Rockpools

Friday

Dear…

Mum said you’d have liked today’s walk, she thought it was one of the nicest from the holiday!

We parked up in Mortehoe and set off through a lovely campsite with its own pub!

Soon we were passing some lovely old farm buildings that were used by smugglers a long time ago.

We made our way down a lovely lane lined in fuchsia bushes to Lee Bay which was rock pool heaven with loads of things to sniff.

All along the coast path we passed lots of rock pooling opportunities, Mum used to spend all day here when she was little, always putting back all the collected crabs and shrimps at the end of the day.

We then walked on past Bull Point and a little light house spot, then carried on past Rockham Bay which is a lovely bay to dip our paws in!

Even though we kept looking we didn’t see any seals and we walked all the way to Morte Point!

Then we carried onwards to the edge of Woolacombe and back to Mortehoe where we had the best cake and coffee in Miss Fea’s cafe in the Smugglers Rest Pub.

After our experience in Exmoor Mum checked us over for extra friends, just one for Twig which we called Terry!

Love for now.
